Cerennics is a fully offline ceramics studio companion. This policy explains how the app handles your data.

Summary
Cerennics collects no personal data, sends nothing to any server, and shares nothing with third parties. Everything you create — projects, photos, measurements, notes, and firing schedules — stays only on your own device. No internet connection, account, or sign-up is required for the app to work.

Data We Collect
None. The app does not request or collect your name, email, location, device identifiers, or any similar personal information. The display name you enter on first launch is stored only on your device and used in the greeting message.
Data Stored on Your Device
The data you create while using the app is kept in your device’s local storage:
- Project records, clay body types, and material parameters
- Photos you capture and notes you add
- Calculator inputs and firing schedule entries
- Your app preferences (unit selection, display name)
None of this data is transmitted off your device. When you uninstall the app, this data is deleted from your device.
App Permissions
Cerennics only requests a permission when you use the related feature:
- Camera / Photos — to capture or pick photos of your work. Photos are stored only on your device.
- Notifications — to show threshold reminders for a firing schedule you have started. Notifications are scheduled entirely on-device.
- Storage — to save or restore your backup file (JSON), only to a location you choose.
Backups
The “Backup” feature exports your data as a single JSON file. You alone decide where to save it and whom to share it with. The app never sends the backup to any server.
Third Parties and Analytics
The app contains no advertising networks, analytics tools, crash reporting services, or third-party software development kits (SDKs). No data is shared with any third party.
Children’s Privacy
The app knowingly collects no personal data from children. Because no data is collected from any user, this holds true for all age groups.
Security
Because your data never leaves your device, its security largely depends on your device’s own protections (screen lock, encryption). We recommend keeping regular backups of important data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, the date on this page will change. We will announce any significant changes in the app or on this page.
